In the beginning…
Francesca, the owner and artisan of Bath Bar Essentials, started her bath and body journey by making soap for her and her family due to the life threatening allergies & increasing sensitivities they were experiencing with commercial topical products. She had become extremely frustrated and surprised at not being able to find facial, bath, and body products that were truly all-natural and safe.
Since she couldn’t find what she needed she decided she would create them and began researching the therapeutic properties of what she would want to include such as butters, oils, herbs, and essential oils. It wasn’t long before she fell in love with artistry, simplicity and benefits of crafting her very own soaps. Soaps were crafted using high-quality melt and pour soap bases, allowing her to create beautiful, skin-loving products with consistency, safety, worry free, and creativity in every bar of soap that her family loved.
In the beginning, Bath Bar Essentials was only formed to help family, friends, and a few customers at farmer’s markets and trade-shows with the hopes of making a little extra cash. As it turned out, many people were looking for the simplicity and truly all-natural facial, bath, and body products, too. Bath Bar Essentials has been steadily growing over the first year and has become an oasis of creativity and peace for Francesca.

Unlike traditional cold process soaps that require curing time and can vary from batch to batch, melt and pour soaps offer a reliable foundation—free from harsh chemicals and perfectly formulated for gentle cleansing. These bases are pre-saponified, which means they're ready to use and safe on the skin immediately, making them ideal for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Using this method, we’re able to infuse each soap with nourishing ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, herbs, essential oils, and botanicals—while creating stunning designs that traditional soap-making can't always achieve. Whether it’s vibrant swirls, embedded shapes, or transparent layers, melt and pour allows for endless creativity without compromising quality.
